August 20, 2021Notre Dame Interns Strengthen Our Mission
Sponsored by the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program, the Frassati Internship provides Notre Dame undergraduates the opportunity to work in national philanthropic foundations and organizations that support Catholic education. Following a wonderful, productive experience with Frassati Intern Olivia Balcer in summer 2020, the Aim Higher Foundation was pleased to be selected as a host organization for two additional Frassati Interns this summer, Claire Stein and Kate Morse.
Claire, a Madison native, is a rising senior at Notre Dame. She has put her Visual Communication Design and Political Science majors to work interviewing Aim Higher Scholar families. These stories will be highlighted on our website, social media, as well as in the 9th annual Night of Light feature video. Claire is also developing an initial design for Aim Higher’s annual report and updating our team and leadership webpages, as well as implementing a database of student, parent, and school leader testimonials. Claire’s work has demonstrated Aim Higher’s impact to our supporters, showcasing several exceptional Catholic school communities along the way.
Kate is also a rising senior at Notre Dame, originally from Franklin, MA. Having majored in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics with minors in Digital Marketing and Education, Schooling, and Society, Kate will serve as a Catholic school teacher through the Alliance for Catholic Education post-graduation. As a Frassati Intern this summer, Kate has created an online database to track the future plans of all Aim Higher Scholars alumni, since the class of 2015. As her internship draws to a close, Kate continues to expand the database to store additional information on our graduated Scholars, their families, and the Catholic elementary schools they attended. The Aim Higher team is grateful for Kate’s work surveying current and graduated Aim Higher Scholars and hopes to utilize her database system for years to come.
Claire and Kate are with us through most of July, and they’ve exceeded our team’s expectations for their contributions to our culture and mission. We are grateful to have their help in our mission to give families access to the life-changing benefits of a Catholic education!
