Make Room for One More Child
May 27, 2026
As a part of a partnership with the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education, the Aim Higher Foundation is thrilled to welcome three summer interns: Brady Seaburg, Mackenzie Cote, and Maeve Geishauser. Meet them below!
Brady Seaburg
Strategic Initiatives Intern
From the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Brady is a rising junior at the University of Notre Dame, where he majors in political science and economics with minors in constitutional studies and Theology. Brady is working to develop a strategic plan and model scenarios for the implementation of the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit (FSTC), and optimize the size of scholarship awards given by Aim Higher.
How Has Catholic Education Shaped Who You Are?
My first experience with Catholic education has actually been my time at Notre Dame. It has been immensely rewarding to see the integration of my faith with my courses and academic engagement outside the classroom. Catholic education at the collegiate level has shaped my vocational discernment and fostered a greater understanding and appreciation of the Catholic intellectual tradition and Catholic social teaching.
What Drew You to Work with the Aim Higher Foundation?
The founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross (the order of priests that began the University of Notre Dame), Blessed Basil Moreau, famously called for an education where “the mind will not be cultivated at the expense of the heart.” I am a strong believer in the ability of Catholic education to promote positive student outcomes and form young people morally and spiritually. Organizations like Aim Higher seek to provide this opportunity to families who want this kind of education for their children.

I have three: visiting some iconic area churches, going to a Minnesota Twins game, and spending a lot of time outdoors.

Mackenzie Cote
Data & Operations Intern
Mackenzie is a rising junior at the University of Notre Dame originally from Chicago, IL. She is double majoring in business analytics and Theology, and double minoring in public health and AI analytics. She hopes to work in tech or data consulting in her future career! In her free time you can find her cooking, reading, spending time with friends, and traveling. Some fun facts about her are that she has her own food blog and she is a hot sauce lover. She is super excited to explore the Twin Cities this summer along with the other interns!
How Has Catholic Education Shaped Who You Are?
Catholic education has given me a foundation for not just my academic journey, but how to conduct my life in a meaningful and fulfilling way. The values a Catholic school instills has taught me to see my future career not just as a way to make a living, but as a genuine vocation to serve others.
What Drew You to Work with the Aim Higher Foundation?
I was drawn to work with the Aim Higher Foundation because of the impact that attending a Catholic school has made on my life. Knowing firsthand how much a faith-based, community-focused environment can shape a student’s values and career path, I hope that my work can bring a similar opportunity to families who may not have access to a Catholic education otherwise. I also value how this internship lets me exercise my love of data science through service!

Maeve Geishauser
Communications Intern
Maeve is a rising junior studying marketing and English at the University of Notre Dame. She is originally from Reading, Pennsylvania but has been loving the change of scenery that Minnesota has to offer! Here at Aim Higher she will be working as a Communications and Storytelling intern, helping to convey the amazing impact of Aim Higher and the children we support.
How Has Catholic Education Shaped Who You Are?
Catholic education has been a part of my life from the very beginning, and I have grown to appreciate the profound impact it has had on my character and my academic performance. From pushing me to achieve to establishing my fundamental values, Catholic education has built me up to who I am today.
What Drew You to Work with the Aim Higher Foundation?
What drew me here is my intense belief in the importance of education and my wish to help students access effective schooling. My ability to communicate and my passion for tailored messaging both made me feel like I have something to offer the Foundation, allowing me the extremely rewarding opportunity of helping other children gain opportunities that may have otherwise remained out of reach.
