Karen M. Rauenhorst

In addition to her current work on the boards for the National Catholic Education Association, Better Way Foundation, and Aim Higher Foundation, Karen Rauenhorst serves as Vice Chair for the Catholic Relief Services Foundation and Secretary for the Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities. Previously, Rauenhorst enjoyed a long tenure on the Board of Trustees at St. Catherine University, chairing the board for four years and acting as the University’s interim President during the summer of 2016. She is the founding Board Chair for the Aim Higher Foundation and has also served as the Board Chair for the Better Way Foundation and Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis and the Vice-Chair for the Catholic Community Foundation. Previously awarded honorary degrees from the University of Notre Dame and St. Catherine University, Rauenhorst utilizes her fundraising, strategic planning, and non-profit management skills to constantly promote families’ access to education and health opportunities within their communities.
